Finally – We have Eggs!

I posted pictures of our chickens a while back.  But just to bring you up to date, we first bought chickens on August 12.  At that time, unsure of what we were doing, we only bought 6.  Then, someone recommended that we start with a dozen.  So 2 weeks later, we bought 6 more.  It’s been a wild ride since we have no clue what we are doing, but decided to just wing it.

So at this point our chickens are about 5 months.  And up to this point, we still have not gotten any eggs, although I wasn’t really expecting any until spring.  And low and behold, 2 eggs!

I can’t even begin to tell you how excited we all were.  Finally, some eggs!
